As well as exercising our bodies, when we practice yoga we’re automatically learning and enhancing qualities such as discipline, calmness, patience, wisdom, kindness and gratitude, etc. These are often by-products of practicing yoga. The more I practiced yoga the less bothered I became about things which used to really bother me.
Among the celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Ricky Martin, who practice yoga, Meg Ryan has received many benefits from her practice. "I started [yoga] about five years ago,” says Ryan. “I will say, definitely, it changed my life. It made me calmer. It puts you right in the place of witness — which is great."
